Asbury Theological Seminary McKenna Chapel

McKenna Chapel on the campus of Asbury Theological Seminary has undergone a major upgrade in the Video Projection and Sound Reinforcement systems.  With an impending renovation to the larger Estes Chapel, Asbury Theological Seminary contacted Pro Sound and Lights to design and install new AV systems in their existing space.  The challenge put forth was to integrate the new systems into the space while not disrupting the atmosphere created by the chapel. The new dual screen system that was designed and installed by Pro Sound and Lights will give the diverse group of system users tremendous presentation ability without distracting from the atmosphere or covering the beautiful organ pipes that line the front of the chapel.  There is no more need to roll out a video screen that cannot be seen welland be disappointed by the lack of clarity and brightness.

The new video control system powers on and off the system, and it can also change to various inputs based on the user’s needs, including stage display and wireless display.  The wall-mounted projectors on the face of the balcony are discrete and not distracting, while anti-vibration dampening mounts keep the image stable and protected from movement in the balcony.

A new digital mixer is the backbone of the audio upgrade.  The accompanying digital snake provides stage inputs and outputs all over a single cable, eliminating the need for a large cumbersome analog snake.  The new powered speakers and subwoofer have been acoustically tuned to the room providing the participants an outstanding listening experience.  Power sequencing for the audio system gives the users a simple switch to turn all of the audio equipment on and off without the need to go to each location to power on and off individual equipment.

As always, Pro Sound and Lights uses clean wiring practices, providing a discrete and non-intrusive installation for Asbury Theological Seminary and the Wilmore community to utilize for years to come!
